Palestinian-American Youth Released Following Nine Months in Israeli Imprisonment

A Palestinian-American adolescent who spent nine months in Israel's custody absent formal charges has been freed.

Mohammed Ibrahim had just turned 15 during his detention last February throughout the West Bank territory, where he was visiting while residing in Florida under suspicion of rock throwing toward Israeli settlers, claims he consistently denied.

The US state department expressed satisfaction with the teenager's freedom.

Now sixteen years old, was taken to hospital for treatment immediately after release, family members reported.

According to them, he appears showing signs of malnutrition, and experiencing medical problems acquired while detained.

Via family representatives, family spokesperson spoke of the family's "immense relief".

Family member Zeyad Kadur said the family had been "surviving a terrible, unending nightmare" over the last nine months.

"At this moment, our priority is getting Mohammed prompt healthcare necessary for his recovery after being subjected to Israel's abuse and cruel circumstances over several months."

The state department announced ongoing to offer diplomatic assistance for the Ibrahim family.

{"American leadership gives utmost importance than the safety and security for United States citizens"," officials stated.

Twenty-seven US lawmakers had signed a letter to the state department and the White House, demanding more be done to release him.

Mr Ibrahim, with four children managing a frozen treats business in Florida, previously said Mohammed acknowledged allegations regarding stone throwing due to physical abuse.

There were no visits or communicated with his son since February, learning information solely about his son's condition via legal paperwork.

He stayed without charge at Ofer detention facility in the West Bank.
